As the 2009-2010 State Commander, I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to our website. AMVETS is not only an organization of military veterans and those now serving but we also have membership for the entire family. AMVETS membership is open to men and women now serving or who have served in the Armed Forces of the United States including Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, Coast Guard plus our dedicated Reserves and National Guard. Our Congressional Charter was in 1947 and membership includes War and Peacetime duty as long as you are active duty or were honorably discharged and have a DD form 214.

 Our family includes a Womens Auxiliary, Sons organization, Juniors (for male & female under 18) and also Riders Chapters for the motorcycle enthusiast. These organizations include service personnel and veterans’ wives/widows, sons, daughters, grandchildren, sisters, brothers, parents and other who may qualify. Check with us to see which one fits you. Get involved and “HELP US HELP THEM”. Our veterans and those now serving.

I must not forget all we do for the Community including donations, programs for the needy, school activities, parades, R.O.T.C. support and also scholarships for veteran’s and families and active duty personnel and families.
